Our address autocomplete feature allows you to offer pre-validated suggestions to customers after a few keystrokes are entered in the checkout form. The end result is a faster checkout experience - without typos while driving customer retention. Setup takes less than 30 seconds, as it's as simple as selecting two settings.

Address Autocomplete supports both: 1 Page & 3 Page checkout
Address Autocomplete is for Shopify Plus only
Once the configuration is set, Address Guard will automatically process validations including address rule messaging and blocking checkout as needed.

Get Started
There are two sections that you'll need to enable for the Checkout Extension to begin showing on your checkout.

A. Address Guard
From within your Address Guard account, go to:
Display > Prompt > Validation Method (at the top)
Select "Autocomplete validation"
Scroll down to the Display Options section and select One-page checkout or Three-page checkout based on your current Shopify setup. After this is completed, click save at the top.
B. Shopify
The next step is to add the Autocomplete validation option to your Checkout editor within your Shopify account:
Click Settings on the bottom left
Click Checkout > Customize (live theme)
Click the Settings tab within the editor and scroll down to the bottom where it says Address Autocomplete
Click to enable and select Address Guard as the provider and click Save.
Known Limitations
Due to limitations on Shopify's end, the following countries are not yet available for Autocomplete. Instead, we will fall back to our standard manual address validation automatically if one of these countries is selected. To ensure this works properly, you'll need to also add our Before Checkout extension to your theme if you ship to these countries.
