Overview
This article will walk you through our latest updates to the Fraud Management feature, which are useful if your store uses a order fraud prevention tool such as NoFraud, Riskified or other tools.
The purpose of this feature is to keep the order on-hold after an address update occurs on our form, since these fraud prevention tools will need to rescreen the new address to ensure the order meets their guarantees. When this particular order is kept on-hold due to an address update, we can also push a customized tag into your Shopify store so your team is aware.
Note: This feature is for the Shopify platform only.
Get Started
To begin configuring which address updates will require the system to keep an order on-hold go to:
Order Automations > Order Fulfillment > Fraud Prevention
Select to Enable
Once enabled, select from the dropdown all of the address fields which if updated require your fraud tool to rescreen the order. Each tool has different requirements, so please confirm with your Account Manager on which field updates meet their guarantee requirements.
Today we support:
House Number
Street Name
Apt / Unit Number
City
State
Zip / Postal Code
Example of how this works
Ryan places an order with an invalid address > order is placed on-hold.
Ryan receives an email notification and updates his address from "1450 Orange Dr" to "1450 Blueberry Road" and the address is now verified.
The street name was updated, and since the street name is within the selected drop-down, the order is kept on-hold within Shopify.
AG pushes a new tag to the Shopify store indicating Ryan's order is kept on-hold due to the street name being updated.
Tag Customization
When the customer updates their address, and that field component belongs to your selected reasons for holding the order we can push a customized tag to your Shopify store. This way our CS team will know that this order needs to be rescreened by your fraud prevention tool.
To get started go to:
Rules & Tags > Order Tags
Scroll to the very bottom and you'll see a new option called "Fraud Management"
Enable this new tag and type in your preferred tag text, then click Save
