Overview
The Klaviyo Integration with Address Guard, will allow you to send branded email notifications directly from your Klaviyo account when an issue is detected with the customer's address. Today all email notifications are sent from Address Guard, but once this feature is enabled this will be disabled, and you'll be able to create a unique flow within Klaviyo to send these emails instead.
Klaviyo Account Connection
There are two steps to setup before email events can begin sending to your Klaviyo account.
Step 1: Connect Klaviyo to Address Guard
Within General Settings > Integrations > Klaviyo
Click the Connect button
A modal will appear asking you to authorize the integration (Continue, then Approve).
Once completed, the status will change to "Connected".
Step 2: Select your Email Provider for Email Notifications
Within Display > Email Notifications
Scroll down to the new section called "Email Provider" and select "Klaviyo as your email provider. Once selected be sure to click Save at the top.
How to send emails with Klaviyo
Today when a customer enters in an invalid shipping address or one that contains an enabled address rule, a notification is sent from Address Guard after checkout. With the Klaviyo integration, we will instead send these order data points to the customer's profile within Klaviyo in the form of an event called "Undeliverable Order Address".
Event data points sent to Klaviyo:
OrderID
ShippingAddressLine1
ShippingAddressLine2
ShippingCity
ShippingState
ShippingPostal
ShippingCountry
IssueReason
FormLink
Next, you would need to create a New Flow within Klaviyo that triggers when this particular event occurs within your customer's profile. Make sure you select: "Add Trigger > Metric > Undeliverable Order Address."
Lastly, the email template for this flow would need to be customized to insert event data from the customer's profile. Once that's completed, going forward whenever this event triggers > your email template will be sent to the customer on file with all of the related shipping address information & reason / link from Address Guard.
