Overview
The Bulk Address Tool allows you to upload up to 10,000 unique shipping addresses which are then validated in real-time. When an issue is identified the customer will receive an email notification encouraging them to update their address.
As customers update their address, the results screen will continually update - allowing you to get a complete understanding. Once you’re happy with the results, click to download the results file via the "Export" button.
The results file will look similar to your original file, except it will include the newly updated addresses provided by your customers, in addition to the tags related to each address change.
Note: If your original file contains addresses with Chinese, Japanese or other non-latin characters, you'll need to ensure the file is saved as a: CSV UTF-8 (comma delimited) file. Without the proper character encoding, the system will be unable to read these types of characters which will cause an error. If you're not sure how to save the file, please contact our support team who will be happy to help.
Note: Billing for each address will be based on your account billing rate.
Get started with Bulk Address Validation
To access this tool, click into the main menu: Tools > Bulk Shipping Address
There are 3 sections of this tool to be aware of:
Upload Address List - using the template linked within the upload area, format your address information as required. Once completed add your file to the upload area to begin processing.
Results - As the file begins processing, relevant information related to each address will appear on the right side including verified, updated and failed addresses.
Upload History - The table provides a full breakdown of your file including the number of orders, address status, emails sent and how many customers updated their address (from the email notification sent to them). Once the file completes processing, an Export button will appear to access the newly updated file. As customers fix their address, the file will continually be updated which will require another download.
