Overview

The Gorgias integration with Address Guard, allows brands to view customer shipping address validation information from within the ticket sidebar. Tickets can also be automatically created once certain address issues are detected - giving your team the immediate ability to act on a customer problem.

Once the integration is connected, a new widget will automatically appear on your ticket sidebar which contains helpful information about the customer’s order.

The goal of this widget is to optimize the handling of shipping related tickets for your customer support team. To learn more about the integration, be sure to visit the Gorgias apps page.

Get Started

  1. From your Address Guard account, click into: Integrations > Gorgias > Connect

  2. Once on the setup page, enter in your Gorgias account name, commonly shown as the subdomain in your address bar.

  3. After you’ve entered in the account name, click “Connect”. A small popup will now appear from Gorgias asking you to confirm the connection request to your Gorgias account > click to accept the connection.

  4. Once you’ve completed the connection, click Save at the top and you’re all done.

Create new tickets in Gorgias based on address issues

Address Guard also gives you the ability to automatically create new tickets for your customer service team based on identified address issues with orders.

To get started, click on "Enable" for the Ticket creation settings. Once the new screen opens, you have a few options:

  • Customize the ticket subject line

  • Customize the ticket body content

  • Configure which order tags will trigger this new ticket to be created in your account.

After you're happy with the updates, click Save on the top, and you're all done!

How Address Guard will appear to your team

Within the ticket sidebar, our widget will automatically be added once the connection is complete. If you’re not seeing the widget, please see the Gorgias troubleshooting guide for our integration.

The widget itself will pull in the latest order made by the customer whom you’re responding to in the ticket. The widget will contain helpful information such as:

  • Order ID

  • Address validation status

  • Address tags

  • Customer status - if they were found in your Address Guard account
