Pricing Overview
At Address Guard, we keep our pricing simple and transparent, with no monthly plans or contracts. You pay based on order usage, so your costs scale directly with your volume.
Our pricing depends on the type of validation being performed:
Manual Address Validation - customers type in their address and validation is performed once fully entered.
$0.04 per order across 240+ countries
Autocomplete Address Validation - verified addresses are shown as suggestions in a dropdown as customers begin to type their address. This allows for a frictionless experience and fewer issues around prompting the customer. Our autocomplete solution is available on Shopify Plus and BigCommerce.
$0.06 per validation across 240+ countries
Note: You are only billed for one validation method per order. If a customer selects an address from the autocomplete dropdown, you are charged the autocomplete rate. If the customer skips the dropdown e.g. autofill, ShopPay, etc., Address Guard will still validate the order using manual validation to ensure every order is checked. In either case, you are never charged for both validation methods for the same order.
Enterprise Pricing: For brands processing more than 15,000 monthly orders, please reach out to our team to request an Enterprise quote. Our team will provide a discounted rate based on your expected monthly order volume for both United States and International shipments. To submit a new quote request, please go to: https://addressguard.io/pricing/ and click "Request a Price" on the right side.
Email Address & Phone Number Validation
Our Email Address and Phone Number Validation suite gives brands a more accurate representation of their customer's data. This is an optional feature to enable, but we highly recommend it especially for those that are sending large volume Email & SMS campaigns each month.

Single Address Tool - validate one address at a time for phone orders, marketplace orders, or quick lookups. Go to: Tools > Single Shipping Address
Bulk Address Tool - upload up to 10,000 addresses at once. Go to: Tools > Bulk Shipping Address
How Address Guard Counts Orders
Understanding how orders are counted will help you reconcile your billing with the orders you see in your eCommerce platform. The way orders are counted depends on your validation method.
After Checkout Validation (Thank You Page)
A billing charge is applied once the order is fully completed. If the customer enters a shipping address and completes checkout, one validation charge is added to your account. This is the most straightforward billing model.
Before Checkout Validation (Shopify Plus)
A billing charge is applied as soon as the customer enters a shipping address during checkout, even if the order is never completed. This means abandoned checkouts are included in your order count. However, you are only charged one time per order. If that same customer returns to their cart and completes the order (or changes their address), you will not be charged again.
Autocomplete Validation (Shopify Plus & BigCommerce)
A billing charge is applied once the customer selects an address from the autocomplete dropdown. If the customer goes back and types a completely new address and selects a second suggestion from the dropdown, an additional validation charge will be added. However, if a customer does not select an address from the autocomplete dropdown e.g. autofill, ShopPay, etc., Address Guard will still validate the order using manual validation to ensure every order is checked.
Common Reasons Your Order Count May Differ from Your Store
If the number of validated orders on your Address Guard billing page looks higher than what you see in your eCommerce platform, here are the most common reasons:
Abandoned checkouts (Before Checkout validation only)
If you are using Before Checkout validation on Shopify Plus, we validate addresses as soon as they are entered during checkout. If the customer abandons their cart after entering an address, that validation is still counted. These orders may appear as "pending" rows in your Order History page and will not have a completed order number.
Subscription and recurring orders
Subscription orders created by apps like Recharge are pulled into Address Guard and validated when they reach your Shopify store. Each renewal counts as a separate order validation, even though the customer did not go through checkout again.
Multi-channel orders (TikTok, Facebook, Amazon, etc.)
By default, Address Guard validates orders from all sales channels connected to your Shopify store, not just your online storefront. This includes orders from TikTok Shop, Facebook, Amazon, and other marketplace channels. If you are seeing charges for marketplace orders that are fulfilled by the marketplace (such as TikTok-fulfilled orders), contact our support team and we can block specific channels from being validated.
Autocomplete re-selections
If a customer using autocomplete types a new address and selects a second suggestion from the dropdown, this counts as an additional validation.
Where to Find Your Billing History
To view your billing history and current usage, go to: General Settings > Billing
On this page, you will find two sections:
Current Usage - This shows how much will be billed based on your usage during the current 30-day billing period.
Past Bills - This shows how much was billed for previous billing periods. Click the arrow on any past bill to open the invoice page, which provides an exact count and breakdown of order validations for that period.
How Billing Works by Platform
Shopify
Billing is handled through your standard monthly Shopify bill. Address Guard charges appear as a line item within your Shopify invoice. Credits or refunds also appear on the Shopify bill.
BigCommerce and Custom API
Billing is handled via a monthly charge to the credit card on file in your Address Guard account.
Multi-store accounts
If you operate multiple stores, each store has its own billing. Charges are calculated and invoiced separately per store.
Enterprise Pricing
For brands processing more than 15,000 orders per month, we offer custom Enterprise pricing. Enterprise plans include:
Custom rate structures for both US and International validations
SAML SSO, API access, and custom integrations
Dedicated account manager and SLAs
To request an Enterprise quote, go to: https://addressguard.io/pricing/ and click "Request a Price" on the right side, or contact your account manager directly.
Requesting a Billing Review

FAQ
Q: Does the price change by international country?
A: Our pricing is all inclusive, regardless of the country. Whether the customer is in Brazil, Japan, Egypt, or Canada, the price per order is the same.
To see a list of all countries we support today, please see our Supported Countries guide.
Q: Is billing per order or per validation?
A: Today we offer both options depending on the type of address validation method selected within your account:
For Manual entry validation we bill on a per order basis. This means regardless of how many times the customer updates their address for re-validation, you're never charged again.
For Address autocomplete validation, we bill once the customer selects an address suggestion from the dropdown. If the customer goes back and types in a new address for another autocomplete suggestion and selects a second address, we will add another validation charge to your account.
Q: Why is autocomplete validation more expensive than manual validation?
A: The price difference is due to how our data partners charge us to access validation data. Autocomplete requires multiple lookups per keystroke as the customer types, whereas manual validation performs a single lookup once the full address is entered. We charge once the final address is selected from the autocomplete dropdown.
Q: What happens if the customer abandons their cart and then comes back to checkout?
A: For Shopify Plus brands using Before Checkout validation, a billing charge is applied when the customer enters a shipping address for validation, even if they abandon checkout. However, you are only charged one time per order. If that customer returns to complete their order, or changes their address multiple times, you will not be charged again.
For brands using After Checkout validation only, no charges are applied for abandoned carts since validation happens after the order is completed.
Q: Am I charged for both Before Checkout and After Checkout validation on the same order?
A: No. We never double charge when both Before and After Checkout validation are enabled together. If a customer uses autocomplete, enters a problematic address, and then sees a prompt on the thank you page, you are only charged the single autocomplete lookup price.
Q: Are subscription or recurring orders billed?
A: Yes. Subscription orders (from Recharge or other subscription apps) are validated when they reach your Shopify store. Each renewal is counted as a separate order validation.
Q: Are marketplace orders (TikTok, Facebook, etc.) billed?
A: By default, Address Guard validates orders from all sales channels. If you have marketplace orders that are fulfilled by the marketplace and do not need validation, contact our support team and we can block specific channels from being validated and billed.
Q: Are orders validated through the Single Address or Bulk Address tools billed?
A: Yes. Both tools use your default billing rate. Each address submitted for validation will be billed at your account's per-validation rate.
Q: How am I billed for Address Guard?
A: For brands on Shopify, billing is handled via the standard monthly Shopify Bill.
For brands on any other platform, such as BigCommerce or Custom API, billing is handled via a monthly charge to your credit card on file.
To see a monthly breakdown of your billing history, please go to: General Settings > Billing.
