Overview

Address Guard supports multi-language across all consumer facing elements such as the checkout extension, form, email and SMS notification based on the customer's browser language or Shopify Market. The default copy has already been translated for each language, so all you'll need to do is enable the language in your account, and you're all set.

Get Started

To begin utilizing our multi-language functionality on your account, go to: Display > Translations

  • Select the type of method we should identify the customer's language and therefore translate the content:

    • Browser language - this uses the default primary language within the customer's browser.

    • Shopify market - this uses the Shopify market you've configured and where the customer is currently viewing.

How to enable a language

By default, all additional languages are disabled. To begin using a language:

  • Select the language from the dropdown

  • Click the switch to Enable, then click Save

Now when a customer visits your site, if their utilizing any of the enabled languages, then this translated text will display to them.

Customizing a language

All language copy has already been translated for the selected language. If you'd like to change any of this information, simply type the new text into the Translated Text field, and then click Save.

Note: If you plan to make a change to your default text under the Display > Prompt / Form / Email Notifications or the Address Rules page, it should also be updated within the enabled translations page for consistency across the brand.
