Overview
This guide will walk you through setting up the Confirm Address Prompt, which appears after checkout asking the customer if their entered shipping address is correct. Occasionally customers may use autofill in their browser and select an outdated address, or they use ShopPay / ApplePay and accidentally select an old address.
In this situation, the address might be valid but the customer no longer lives at the address - leading to a lost package. To solve this scenario, Address Guard offers a prompt that will appear to customers if their address is valid after checkout.
Get Started
The first step is to enable the Confirm Address setting from your prompt area:
Click Display > Prompt
Scroll down to the Address Options area
Click to enable the checkbox "Display the prompt to customers on the thank you page to confirm their selected address."
Once this option is saved, then going forward Address Guard will prompt all customers on the thank you page to confirm there entered address (assuming the address is valid).
Confirm Prompt - Example
This is an example of how the prompt will look to your customers on the thank you page. From here, the customer has two options:
Update Address - this will bring the customer to your form to enter in a new address.
Confirm Address is Correct - this will set the address status to confirmed, and no further interaction is needed.
